KISD’s former qualified, uncertified sign language interpreters welcome at TISD

Many employees that interpret sign language within a school district in Killeen, Texas, got fired for something confusing. It occurred before Thanksgiving, and it greatly affected deaf students. They got fired for not having a certification, which raised many questions, and made parents angry.

However, an update came out announcing that four of the uncertified interpreters will get their job back. The school district will also figure out ways to prevent this situation from occurring again.
