There is a lack of education on how to communicate with the deaf. Those who are deaf may lack the skills they need to communicate with those who are not hard of hearing. Caregivers are not always knowledgeable on how to go about helping their child receive the best education possible. In fact, many students have disabilities in addition to their Deafness. A child’s development in communication and language is significant in their child’s future learning. Many caregivers do not know how to help their deaf children with their communication skills, which helps to set the children up for success.
